Screening and Selection Procedures

Each candidate is interviewed by the recruiter to assess their skills and aptitude for the position they are apply for. They are required to take the Harmony Healthcare HIM Pre-Employment Coding Test that coordinates with the skill set found on the applicants resume. Each test is compiled of sections covering the following:

Anatomy & Physiology
Inpatient and/or Outpatient Coding (ICD-9,CPT,HCPCS)
Facility & Professional Fee E&M
Coding Auditing
Management

If they receive an outstanding score on the coding test, they are interviewed by our Compliance Manager (post assessment) in order to assure you of the proper match. Three professional references are conducted on each applicant and background/drug screens are done as needed.
